Fanghui Zhao is an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program within Seattle University's College of Education. Her research centers on two primary domains: cross-cultural counseling processes/outcomes and developing Multicultural Social Justice Counseling Competencies (MSJCC) in counselor trainees.
Her scholarship aims to enhance mental healthcare accessibility for marginalized populations, particularly racial/ethnic minority clients. With clinical experience across college counseling centers, community clinics, and career services, she specializes in young adult mental health.
