Falk-Rudhard Schreiner

Falk-Rudhard Schreiner is a Research Associate and PhD Student at the Institute of Landscape Ecology, University of Münster, working within the Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research Group and Soil Ecology and Land Use Group since 2023.

His educational background includes:

• M.Sc. in Landscape Ecology, University of Münster (2019-2022)
• B.Eng. in Environmental Protection, Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (2011-2016)
• Internship in Practice in Applied Ecology, Hedmark University College, Norway (2015)

Schreiner's research expertise spans grassland ecology, soil ecology, and plant-soil interactions. He investigates how changes in land use intensity affect biodiversity and ecosystem functions, with particular focus on functional features of grassland species. His current project, RecovFun, examines restoration mechanisms of above- and belowground grassland diversity following reductions in land-use intensity.

Schreiner brings complementary practical experience from environmental planning (FROELICH & SPORBECK GmbH, 2022-2023) and gardening/landscaping work to his academic research.
