Fakis Mihalis

Professor Mihalis Fakis holds a full professorship at the Department of Physics, University of Patras, Greece. His academic journey includes positions as Assistant Professor (2014–2020), Associate Professor (2020–2025), and current Professor since 2025. He specializes in ultrafast lasers, nonlinear optics, and optoelectronics, with a focus on photophysical properties of organic materials and their applications in solar cells and photonics.

Research Interests: His work spans ultrafast spectroscopy, multiphoton absorption, polymer and dye lasers, fiber optics, and optoelectronic devices. Key areas include energy transfer dynamics in conjugated polymers, two-photon absorption properties of novel materials, and applications in data storage and photovoltaics.
