Dr. Faisal Tariq is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow, affiliated with the TNE program at UESTC, Chengdu, China. He serves as Program Director for EEE with Communication degree. Previously, he held academic positions at Queen Mary University of London, University of Bedfordshire, Aalborg University, and National Institute of Informatics (NII). His research focuses on wireless networks, 5G/6G technologies, radio resource management, and molecular communications for nano-networks. He has authored/co-authored 11 publications and serves on editorial boards of IEEE Access, IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, and Elsevier's Journal of Network and Computer Applications.
Education: B.Sc. (Hons) from Rajshahi University (Bangladesh), M.Sc. from Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden), and PhD from The Open University (UK).
Research interests include: 5G/6G systems, URLLC scheduling, IoT security, molecular communications, and education technology. His work spans theoretical and applied aspects of wireless networks and their integration with industry.
Professional recognition includes a Best Paper Award at WPMC 2013 and roles as Senior Member of IEEE and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He actively contributes to conference organization and journal peer review.
Editorial roles: IEEE Access (2019–2020), IEEE Wireless Communications Letters (2020), and Elsevier Journal of Network and Computer Applications (2016).
