Faezeh Fatemizadeh

Faezeh Fatemizadeh is a Research Postgraduate (PhD) in the Department of Biosciences at Durham University. Her research focuses on understanding the impacts of climate change and land use on rare breeding bird species in Britain, supported by the NERC-funded IAPETUS2 Doctoral Training Partnership. She collaborates with Newcastle University and Natural England.

Education:

• BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Tehran.
• MSc research on phylogenetic and phylogeographic patterns in Palaearctic cinclids (Cinclus cinclus and C. pallasii), revealing significant evolutionary lineages across Eurasia.

Research Interests: Integrating long-term biodiversity data (e.g., UK Rare Breeding Birds Panel records) to model ecological responses to environmental changes, with a focus on conservation strategies for vulnerable bird populations. Her work bridges evolutionary biology, conservation science, and climate modeling.
