Fadel Ibrahim is a Lecturer in Arabic Language and Culture at the University of Aegean, Rhodes, Greece, and affiliated with the Department of Mediterranean Studies. He holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Ioannina, Greece, and has taught Arabic language and civilization at multiple institutions, including the University of Athens and secondary education in Syria.

His research focuses on Byzantine-Arab cultural interactions, maritime history, and Arabic epics. Key publications include a monograph on the Byzantine image in Arabic epics and studies on medieval ships, Arabic inscriptions in Cyprus, and Alexander the Great’s portrayal in the Thousand and One Nights. His work intersects historical analysis, literary studies, and cross-cultural exchange.
Conference participation spans topics like Mediterranean sea ports, navigation, and Hellenic-Arab cultural ties, with presentations at international congresses from 2000 to 2009. He has also contributed to Greek and Arabic scholarship as an examiner for the National Scholarship Foundation of Greece.
