Fabrizio Zilibotti

Fabrizio Zilibotti is the Tuntex Professor of International and Development Economics at Yale University's Department of Economics. He is affiliated with Pauli Murray College as a fellow and has held academic roles at institutions including the University of Zurich, Stockholm University, and the London School of Economics. His research focuses on development economics, political economy, and family economics, with notable contributions to understanding parenting styles, inequality, and structural economic change.

Zilibotti is a recipient of prestigious awards, including the Yrjö Jahnsson Medal and Sun-Yefang Prize. His book Love, Money, and Parenting (2019) explores how economic factors shape parenting strategies globally. He has advised numerous PhD students whose work spans macroeconomics, conflict economics, and Chinese economic development.
