Fabrizio Moroni is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Systems Engineering and Industrial Technologies (DISTI) at the University of Parma. His work focuses on adhesive bonding, hybrid joints, and mechanical testing, with a strong emphasis on finite element analysis and surface treatment methodologies for adhesion promotion. He has collaborated with institutions like Politecnico di Milano, University of Bologna, and companies including Henkel, Pirelli Tyres, and Dallara.

His research explores the mechanical behavior of adhesive and hybrid joints, particularly in food machinery and automotive applications. Recent publications highlight advancements in laser ablation for microscale interlocking features, 3D-printed titanium substrates, and dynamically crosslinked polymers. Over 50 journal papers, 5 book chapters, and 40+ conference presentations document his contributions.
Notable projects include the SIR-funded SIMAB initiative (2014) for strength improvement in multimaterial joints and the establishment of the Bonded Joint Manufacturing and Testing Laboratory at the University of Parma. He has supervised over 30 graduate students in experimental and computational studies of bonded joints.
