Fabrice Maufrais serves as Lecturer in Modern Ballet at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland since 2013, with extensive international guest teaching engagements across Australia, Canada, France, Japan, and the UK's Royal Ballet School.
Trained at the Paris National Opera Ballet School, his professional career spanned performances as soloist with Nantes Opera Ballet and Scottish Ballet (1990 onward), followed by freelance principal roles in classical repertoire including Cinderella, Swan Lake, and La Sylphide, alongside works by Bejart, Preljocaj, and Malandain. His pedagogical journey includes positions at The Dance School of Scotland, English National Ballet School, and a decade as Pedagogical Director of École Supérieure de Ballet du Quebec (2003-2013).
Specializing in Ballet technique and performance, Maufrais integrates expertise in Classical Repertoire, Pas de deux, and Virtuosity with Gyrotonic training certification. His teaching philosophy emphasizes artistic precision derived from decades of stage experience, focusing on technical mastery and expressive interpretation for advanced dance students.
