Fabián E. Bustamante

Fabián E. Bustamante is a Professor of Computer Science at Northwestern University and Director of Research at Phenix RTS, a Chicago-based startup. He holds an adjunct associate professorship at Trinity College Dublin. His research focuses on Internet-scale systems, distributed networks, and their intersection with socio-technical challenges such as natural disasters and political dynamics. He has advised numerous PhD and Master’s students, many of whom hold prominent roles in academia and industry.

Bustamante earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Georgia Institute of Technology, following studies at Universidad Nacional de La Patagonia San Juan Bosco in Argentina.
