معرفی
Fabio Bruzzone is a Research Fellow at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMEAS) at Politecnico di Torino. He serves as an External Lecturer and Teaching Assistant in the College of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Automotive Engineering, contributing to courses such as Powertrain Component Design, Machine Design, and Fundamentals of Structural Mechanics since 2019.
His research focuses on gear dynamics, non-Hertzian contact analysis, nonlinear structural mechanics, and finite element modeling. He is affiliated with the ISED research group and has led industrial consulting projects related to gear life estimation and screw qualification through finite element analysis and stress-strain testing.
Recent publications analyze nonlinear gear teeth deflection, static transmission error modeling, and structural damage detection in mechanical systems. His work bridges computational engineering and responsible manufacturing (SDG Goal 12), with applications in automotive and aerospace systems.
He supervises PhD candidate Matteo Mascolo and holds national/international patents for software reducing dynamic transmission errors in gears. Current projects include industrial robot simulation and compliant gear dynamics.
