Associate Professor Fabien Medvecky is part of the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science (CPAS) at the Australian National University (ANU). He holds a PhD in philosophy and a Postgraduate Diploma in economics. His research focuses on the ethics of science communication, public understanding of science and economics, and responsible research and innovation (RRI). He has held leadership roles including Secretary of the Public Communication of Science and Technology (PCST) network and former President of the Science Communicators' Association of New Zealand. His work bridges philosophy, economics, and science communication to address how knowledge is shaped in expert-public interactions.
