Fabian Jakob

Fabian Jakob is a Doctoral Researcher at the Institute for Systems Theory and Automatic Control, University of Stuttgart, focusing on control theory and optimization algorithms since 2024. Previously, he worked as a Research Engineer at the Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (2023–2024) and completed his Master’s in Engineering Cybernetics at the University of Stuttgart (2020–2022).

Research Interests include:

• Control theory and its intersection with machine learning
• Time-varying optimization algorithms and their stability analysis
• Passivity-based control for high-frequency robotics
• Quantum computing applications in semiconductor evaluation

Recent Publications highlight his work on integrating online convex optimization with integral quadratic constraints for regret analysis, developing linear parameter-varying frameworks for optimization algorithms, and advancing robot cloud control systems and semiconductor quantum dot evaluation via machine learning.

Teaching: Organized the Lab 'Introduction to Control Theory' in Summer 2024. Affiliated with the Trustworthy Autonomy for Smart Adaptive Systems group under Prof. Dr. Andrea Iannelli.
