Dr. Fatma Aydın Ünal is a Researcher at the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Niğde University and has extensive experience in renewable energy technologies, nanomaterials, and ceramic materials. Her research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of materials for applications in fuel cells, solar cells, and energy storage systems. She has served as Department Chair and held various administrative roles, including Erasmus Coordinator and Farabi Program Coordinator.
Her expertise spans topics such as photocatalytic materials, thin film coatings, and electrolyte materials for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). She has published extensively in SCI-indexed journals and contributed to edited books on nanomaterials and fuel cell components. Notable projects include the development of eco-friendly electrolyte materials and the optimization of interconnector coatings for enhanced SOFC performance.
Dr. Ünal has organized international conferences like the 3rd International Hydrogen Technologies Congress and participated in training programs related to spectroscopy and quality management systems. Her work emphasizes sustainable energy solutions and the application of nanotechnology in clean energy systems.
