Alparslan Topcu is a Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Rafet Kayış Faculty of Engineering, Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University. He holds a Ph.D. in Automotive Engineering (2023), M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Karadeniz Technical University (2017), and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Hitit University (2014).
His research focuses on renewable energy systems, fuel cell technologies (PEM/SOFC), additive manufacturing, and powder metallurgy. He has conducted studies on bipolar plate materials, interconnector optimization for SOFCs, and nanocomposite development using 3D printing. Key projects include investigating cold-start performance of PEM fuel cells and thermal aging effects on 3D-printed polymers.
Topcu has authored/co-authored over 25 peer-reviewed articles in journals like International Journal of Hydrogen Energy and Polymer Composites. His work emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to improve energy conversion efficiency and material durability in fuel cell systems. He also serves as a referee for International Journal of Hydrogen Energy.
