Professor F. Lee Francis is an Associate Professor of Law at Widener University Commonwealth Law School, where he teaches Constitutional Law, Criminal Procedure, and Evidence. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor and Director of the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Center at Mississippi College School of Law. His career includes roles as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office and an Army JAG officer, currently serving as a Captain in the Army Reserves.

His research focuses on Second Amendment and firearms law, with notable contributions to law reviews such as the Marquette Law Review and Texas Tech Law Review. He has testified as a Second Amendment expert witness and his work has been cited by federal courts. His scholarship addresses topics like firearm waiting periods, addiction restrictions, and parental rights under common law.
Professional memberships include bar admissions in New Jersey and multiple U.S. federal courts. His academic leadership includes directing litigation centers and advising on legal practice.
