Prof. Dr. Eyyüp Rencüzoğulları is a Professor of Biology at Adıyaman University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences, leading the Molecular Biology and Genetics Department. He holds a PhD in Genetics from Çukurova University (1997) and became a full Professor in 2009. His academic journey includes roles as Department Chair (2010–present), Dean's Assistant, and head of multiple research projects. He has supervised 14 master's, 7 doctoral, and 1 postdoctoral theses.
Research focuses on genetic toxicology, mutagenicity, and environmental mutagenesis. Over 70 SCI-indexed publications and 5 international book chapters highlight his work on pesticide genotoxicity, mycotoxins, and thalassemia epidemiology. Key achievements include identifying novel genetic variants linked to ectodermal dysplasia and developing diagnostic methods.
He led 40+ projects, including studies on nano-silver toxicity and aflatoxin interactions. Awards include Çukurova University's top academic honors (1986-87). Active in science communication, he has delivered lectures to >36,000 students on genetic risks and food additives.
