Professor Ewelina Zatorska is a Professor at the Mathematics Institute of the University of Warwick, with a visiting appointment at Imperial College London. Her research focuses on the analysis of partial differential equations (PDEs) modeling complex flows, including multi-phase fluids, traffic dynamics, collective motion, and network phenomena. She holds an EPSRC Early Career Fellowship (2021-2026) for her work on nonlocal hydrodynamic models of interacting agents.
Her research interests emphasize the mathematical analysis of PDE systems arising in fluid mechanics and collective behavior, with a particular emphasis on nonlocal interactions, compressible flows, and dissipative systems. She has contributed significantly to understanding the well-posedness, regularity, and long-time behavior of solutions in these contexts. Her work bridges theoretical analysis with applications in traffic flow, swarm dynamics, and geophysical fluid dynamics.
Prof. Zatorska’s recent grants and fellowships reflect her leadership in advancing the mathematical foundations of complex fluid systems. She serves on editorial boards of journals such as the IMA Journal of Applied Mathematics and the Bulletin of the London Mathematical Society, highlighting her role in the broader academic community.
