معرفی
Dr Ewa Sidorenko serves as a Senior Lecturer in Education at the University of Greenwich within the School of Education (Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences), where she has taught since 2003. Her responsibilities include leading Year 1 undergraduate courses in education and childhood studies, supervising Year 3 undergraduate projects, and mentoring Doctorate in Education research candidates.
Her educational foundation lies in sociology and cultural anthropology, culminating in a 1998 PhD that applied sociological theory to analyze political transformations in post-communist Poland. This established her expertise in Polish cultural studies, particularly regarding nationalism, migration, and right-wing politics.
Ewa's research maintains strong interdisciplinary connections between education, childhood studies, and sociological frameworks. Early work centered on Polish identity politics, while recent scholarship pivots to examining intergenerational trauma through Holocaust family history archives, exploring memory, wellbeing, and educational implications. This collaborative project with Education & Community Studies colleagues aims to produce a public exhibition, reflecting her dual academic-creative practice as a published poet with Cryptwriters.
Her REF 2014 contributions demonstrate research impact, though no specific awards are documented. Current supervision spans doctoral and undergraduate levels, with ongoing archival research signaling future directions in trauma-informed educational frameworks.
