Ewa Martyniszyn

Ewa Martyniszyn is an Associate Professor at the Media Art Department within the Faculty of Graphics and Media Art at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław. She serves as Coordinator of diploma programs in Media Art and oversees the Best Diploma publication and digital Diploma Index initiatives. Her expertise lies in photography, particularly wedding portraits, set photography, and documentary practices. She holds a PhD from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań (2004) specializing in Photography.

Research interests include the intersection of traditional and contemporary portraiture, the ecological dimensions of wedding portraits, and temporal exploration in art. Her exhibitions include 'Tales from beyond the paintings' (2019) and 'Hibernation of Childhood' (2018). She received the 2019 Rector’s Award for artistic and academic achievements.
