Evi Gallmetzer

Evi Gallmetzer is a Professor at the Lucerne School of Music (HSLU), specializing in vocal pedagogy and music education. She holds positions at the Institute of Music Pedagogy and teaches singing and voice development at the Allgemeine Musikschule Oberwallis. Her roles include voice coach for actors, speakers, and educators, alongside conducting choirs and leading interdisciplinary projects with theater and visual artists.

Education: She earned a concert diploma in Lied and Oratorio from the Conservatory of Bolzano (Italy), studied Baroque singing in Milan under Claudine Ansermet, and completed vocal pedagogy training in Switzerland. Her artistic work spans historical performances with period instruments, lied recitals, and premiere collaborations.

Research focuses on specialized teaching methods for vocal performance, phonation science, and integrating historical practices into modern pedagogy. Her 2017 publication Kunst, Knete, Karriere explores pedagogical strategies in vocal training. She actively engages in collaborative projects bridging music, theater, and visual arts.
