Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Researchمعرفی
Dr. Evgenia Dmitrieva is a Researcher in the Nanoscale Chemistry / Spectroelectrochemistry group at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden (IFW Dresden), where she has been working since 2008. Her research focuses on the intersection of electrochemistry, spectroscopy, and materials science, with particular emphasis on organic semiconductors and conducting polymers. She has established herself as a prominent scientist in the field of spectroelectrochemistry, contributing significantly to understanding charge carrier mechanisms and electrochemical reaction processes.
Dr. Dmitrieva received her PhD in Chemistry from the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia (2003-2006) after completing her undergraduate studies at the same institution (1998-2003). Prior to joining IFW Dresden, she worked as a scientist at GEN3 Partners Inc. from 2003-2008.
Dr. Dmitrieva's research spans multiple areas of electrochemistry and spectroscopy. She specializes in in situ spectroelectrochemistry techniques including ESR/EPR, UV-vis-NIR, IR, and Raman spectroscopy applied to organic semiconductors. Her work focuses on elucidating electrochemical reaction mechanisms, characterizing charge carriers in various materials, and studying electrochemical synthesis of conducting and redox polymers. She has made significant contributions to the spectroscopic determination of reactive oxygen species and the detection of strain-induced radicals in organic fibers and related materials.
Her recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on advanced materials for energy applications, novel carbon-based nanomaterials, and sophisticated spectroelectrochemical characterization techniques. The research shows increasing collaboration with international teams and a trend toward more complex materials systems including metal-organic frameworks, graphene derivatives, and specialized polymers for electrochemical applications.
Dr. Dmitrieva has contributed to numerous high-impact publications in prestigious journals including Angewandte Chemie, Journal of the American Chemical Society, and Electrochimica Acta. Her collaborative research spans multiple disciplines, connecting fundamental electrochemistry with practical applications in energy storage, sensors, and advanced materials.
