Evangelos Kalogerakis

Evangelos Kalogerakis is an Associate Professor at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Technical University of Crete. He was previously a tenured Associate Professor at the College of Information and Computer Sciences of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he started as an Assistant Professor in 2012. His research focuses on graphics and vision algorithms powered by Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to create and process 3D visual representations, including models of objects, scenes, animations, and geometric data.

• Postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University (2010-2012)

His work has been supported by European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator Grant and National Science Foundation (NSF) grants. He has served as Area Chair for major conferences (CVPR, ICCV, NIPS) and as Associate Editor for journals like IEEE TPAMI and TVCG. He was listed among the most cited computer graphics scholars globally.
