Evan Tobias is an Associate Professor of Music Education at Arizona State University (ASU), where he leads the Consortium for Innovation and Transformation in Music Education (CITME) and directs ArtsWork: The Kax Herberger Center for Children and the Arts. Previously, he taught at DePaul University and in New York's public schools. His research focuses on innovative uses of digital media, equity in education, and integrating popular culture into music curricula. He co-founded the J Dilla Music Tech Grant initiative and publishes a free newsletter, #ImaginingPossibilities, exploring contemporary issues in music education.
Educational Background: Ph.D. and M.M. in Music Education from Northwestern University, B.M. from Crane School of Music, SUNY-Potsdam.
