Prof. Eva Thomann is a Professor of Public Administration at the Department of Politics and Public Administration, University of Konstanz, and Principal Investigator at the Cluster of Excellence The Politics of Inequality. She founded the Konstanz Methods Excellence Workshops (KOMEX) for global empirical research training.

Her research focuses on contemporary public administration challenges at the intersection of democracy and society, including administrative inequality, public sector corruption, bureaucratic overload, and politicization. She employs international comparative approaches and qualitative comparative analysis (QCA) to study policy implementation in multilevel systems.
