Eva Portelance is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Decision Sciences at HEC Montréal and a member of Mila — Québec Artificial Intelligence Institute. Her research bridges AI and cognitive science, focusing on how humans and machines learn language and reason about complex problems.
Education: Ph.D. in Computational/Cognitive Linguistics from Stanford University (advisors: Dan Jurafsky and Mike C. Frank). Postdoctoral training at Mila and McGill University with Timothy J. O'Donnell and Siva Reddy.
