Eva Mårell-Olsson is an Associate Professor at the Department of Education, Umeå University, and affiliated with the Centre for Transdiciplinary AI. Her research focuses on integrating advanced technologies like AR, VR, and AI into pedagogical practices to enhance learning environments across K-12 and higher education. She holds a Docent qualification and is recognized as a Distinguished University Teacher.
Her work explores themes such as immersive technologies in chemistry education, gamification strategies, AI's role in special education, and ethical considerations of human-robot interaction. She has contributed to projects like 'Bots’n People' and 'Enhancing interactions using AI-based technology in hospitalized children,' emphasizing inclusive and adaptive learning solutions.
