Eva Martha Eckkrammer

Prof. Dr. Eva Martha Eckkrammer currently serves as President of the University of Trier and Professor of Romance Linguistics and Media Studies, with expertise in French, Italian and Spanish. Her leadership extends to presiding over the Franco-German University since 2024, following her term as Vice President (2022-2023). Previously, she spent 14 years at the University of Mannheim where she held several vice-rector positions overseeing research infrastructure and early career development.

Her research focuses on:

• Media studies with digital applications
• Language vitality in Romance-speaking contexts
