Eva-Maria Brodte

Dr. Eva-Maria Brodte is a researcher and scientific leader at the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI), specializing in marine ecology and polar research. She currently holds the role of Scientific Director of the Bluehouse Helgoland and coordinates the Guest Science Programme at AWI's marine stations in Helgoland and Sylt. Her work focuses on fostering international collaboration, knowledge transfer, and capacity-building initiatives in marine science.

As coordinator of the NF-POGO Center of Excellence, she drives advancements in oceanographic research infrastructure. Her research interests include fish ecology and physiology, with a particular emphasis on marine biodiversity and ecosystem dynamics. She oversees guest research activities and supports interdisciplinary projects at the AWI Marine Station Helgoland, contributing to long-term ecological observations and observational systems like the HAUSGARTEN LTER.
