Eva Mari Andreasen is a Senior Lecturer and Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Nursing and Health Sciences, Faculty of Health and Sport Sciences, University of Agder. With clinical experience across municipal and specialist health services, she has pioneered the use of desktop virtual reality (VR) to train nursing students in the ISBAR communication method for patient handovers.

Her research spans simulation-based learning, health communication, and VR applications in nursing education. Current projects explore how art and culture influence health outcomes and social belonging. In 2022, she won the national Researcher Grand Prix for her dissemination work.
Recent publications focus on VR's role in standardizing clinical handovers, usability studies for digital tools, and the health benefits of cultural participation. She contributes to educational theory through practice-based learning models and serves as a practice teacher for nursing students in specialist care settings.
