Eva Malecore is a Research Fellow at the University of Bern's Institute of Plant Sciences (IPS), affiliated with the Plant Ecology department and the Botanical Garden. Her work focuses on plant ecology, conservation biology, and multi-trophic interactions. She holds a PhD from the University of Konstanz (Germany) and conducted Master's research in South Africa at Ndumo Game Reserve and the Natal Museum. Since 2020, she has led ex-situ plant conservation research, collaborating with Swiss agencies BAFU and BLW, and organizations like InfoFlora and RegioFlora. Her current projects explore green roofs for conservation, heterospecific pollen interference, and rare species like Myosurus minimus. She also contributes to policy via Switzerland's ex-situ conservation concept development and teaches statistical methods in ecology.
