Prof. Dr. Eva M. Griebeler is an evolutionary ecologist at the Institute of Organismic and Molecular Evolutionary Biology, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Her research spans life history strategies, conservation biology, and methodological innovations in ecological data analysis.
- Research Focus: Evolutionary ecology of vertebrates (mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish), including trait correlations and phylogenetic modeling.
- Climate Impact Studies: Simulations of species survival under climate change using individual-based models.
- Method Development: Novel approaches to empirical data evaluation, emphasizing simulation and mathematical modeling.
Current Projects: Explore sauropod life history strategies, dinosaur thermophysiology, and species distribution modeling under climate change. Funded by DFG and Bonn University scholarships.
Collaborators: Dr. Jan Werner, Prof. Martin Sander (Bonn), Dr. Nikolaos Sfakianakis (Mainz), and students.
