معرفی
Eva Lippold is a Researcher at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), based in the Department of Soil System Research, Soil-Plant Interaction. Her work focuses on understanding plant-soil interactions, particularly the rhizosphere dynamics and root system development using advanced imaging techniques like X-ray microtomography and correlative imaging. She contributes to the Priority Program 2089 “Rhizosphere spatiotemporal organization—a key to rhizosphere functions” since 2018.
Her research interests include the role of root growth and soil structure in shaping chemical and biological properties, with applications to sustainable agriculture and environmental science. She collaborates widely, as evidenced by her co-authored publications in journals like New Phytologist and Environmental Science & Technology.
Eva is part of the Soil System Research team led by Prof. Hans-Jörg Vogel and contributes to initiatives like the Soil Structure Library, a 3D soil archive project. She engages in public outreach through events like the Explore Science Festival and publishes methodological advancements in imaging and data analysis tools (e.g., Rootine v.2 software).
