Professor Eva Kyndt is a globally recognized expert in workforce development, research training, and human resource development at Swinburne University of Technology, where she serves as Lead of the Social Acceptance Flagship & Strategic Applied Research within the School of Business, Law and Entrepreneurship. Previously affiliated with the University of Antwerp where she was a member of the Innovation board leadership team, Professor Kyndt has held significant academic roles including Acting Director of research centres, HDR Coordinator, and Program Director. She is recognized among the top 2% most-cited researchers globally for her influential work in career development and workplace learning.
Professor Kyndt's research focuses on critical areas including education-to-work transitions, sustainable careers, and workplace learning, with particular attention to barriers faced by first-generation and socio-economically disadvantaged students. Her work addresses fundamental questions about how graduates navigate the labor market, the role of social networks in career development, and strategies for creating mentally healthy hybrid work environments. She collaborates extensively with businesses, government agencies, and non-profit organizations to design evidence-based solutions and contribute to policy innovation, including the development of digital tools such as MyCareerCompanion and Readiness that advance workforce development and well-being.

Her current grant portfolio includes projects on hybrid work models, mentally healthy workplaces, and regional workforce development. She serves on the editorial boards of several high-ranking peer-reviewed journals and previously coordinated the Special Interest Group Learning and Professional Development of the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (2017-2021).
