Eva Kultermann

Eva Kultermann is Associate Professor and Associate Dean of University and Academic Affairs at Illinois Institute of Technology's College of Architecture. With professional background as a carpenter and contractor, her work focuses on energy-efficient and resource-conscious construction practices.

She teaches materials, sustainable design, and community-based studios, emphasizing hands-on learning and civic engagement. As faculty mentor for AIAS Freedom by Design, she develops partnerships between students and community organizations for architectural interventions.

Awards recognize her teaching excellence, including the national AIAS Educator Honor Award. She co-authored the textbook Construction Materials, Methods, and Techniques and develops educational modules on commercial construction.
