Eva Huang

Dr. Eva Huang is a Lecturer in the School of Business at the University of Sydney. Her expertise lies in RegTech, comparative taxation, and financial crime detection in the digital economy. She holds a PhD, JD, M.Tax, and dual bachelor’s degrees in Arts and Commerce (Honours). Her research integrates legal, policy, and technical approaches to address compliance challenges in cross-border taxation and illicit financial flows. Huang collaborates with data scientists to develop RegTech tools using machine learning and big data analytics. She is affiliated with leading institutions including the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance and Zhejiang University’s Academy of Internet Finance.

Education: PhD, JD, M.Tax; B.Arts & B.Com (Honours). Research focuses on digitalisation’s impact on tax administration, e-commerce taxation, and regulatory frameworks in China and common law jurisdictions. She has supervised eight PhD/MPhil students, securing grants such as the APR Intern Project for Xi Nan.
