Eva Horne is a Teaching Professor at Kansas State University's Division of Biology and Assistant Director of the Konza Prairie Biological Station. She holds a Ph.D. in Behavioral Ecology from Kansas State University (1996).
Her research focuses on behavioral ecology with specialization in agonistic and anti-predator behaviors in reptiles, amphibians, and dragonflies. Current investigations examine visual displays in cricket frogs and ecological responses to environmental changes.
Publications demonstrate consistent focus on prairie ecosystems, with recent work analyzing amphibian communication patterns while earlier studies examined reptile predation dynamics and ungulate foraging behavior. Research consistently integrates field observations with conservation applications.
She maintains the Herplab research group investigating herpetological behavioral patterns in natural habitats.
