Eva Hoeckner is an Assistant Professor and Program Manager of Language Initiatives at the Center for the Study of Languages and Cultures (CSLC) at the University of Notre Dame. She teaches German language courses and promotes undergraduate language learning through a joint appointment with the Department of German and Russian Languages and Literatures.
- Education: M.A. in German and Latin Language and Literature from Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelm-Universität, Bonn, Germany.
Her research and teaching interests span Second Language Pedagogy, Technology Integration in Language Teaching, German Cinema, Cultural and Political Studies of German-speaking Countries, and 19th–20th Century German Literature. She also contributes expertise as a Latinist and Comparative Linguist.
