Eurico J. Cabrita

Eurico J. Cabrita is an Associate Professor at the Chemistry Department of Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. After completing his PhD in Organic Chemistry (1999) at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, he conducted postdoctoral research at Leipzig University (2000-2002) before returning to Portugal as an Assistant Researcher at REQUIMTE (2003). He rose through the academic ranks, achieving his Habilitation in Physical-Chemistry (2016) and promotion to Associate Professor (2018).

• Education: BSc in Applied Chemistry (1994), PhD in Organic Chemistry (1999), both from Universidade Nova de Lisboa
• Postdoctoral training: Leipzig University

His research spans multiple fields including nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) applications in molecular recognition, anticancer vaccine development, CO2 capture and conversion, and medicinal chemistry. He employs techniques like saturation transfer difference (STD) NMR to study molecular interactions relevant to cancer biology and sustainable chemistry.
