Eupraksia Maria

Eupraksia Maria is a full Professor at the Technical University of Crete's Department of Environmental and Energy Management, Sustainable Development and Climate Change, leading the Laboratory of Environmental Law and Environmental Governance. Her work focuses on integrating legal frameworks with environmental sustainability across multiple domains.

Research Interests:
Eupraksia's research bridges Environmental Law with Technology through projects like HELLASNOMOSAT (land monitoring via satellites) and CARE-MEDIFLORA (Mediterranean plant conservation). She explores intersections between:

• Forest ecosystem protection and climate change policy
• Landscape governance and urban garden preservation
• Renewable energy legal frameworks and smart meter regulation
• Biodiversity governance and plant genetic resource management
• EU compliance with national environmental legislation

Projects & Collaborations:
Currently serving as Scientific Manager for HELLASNOMOSAT (NSRF-funded), while coordinating forest legislation codification projects for Greece's Ministry of Environment. Former roles include scientific collaborations on:
