Eui-Sung Yi

Eui-Sung Yi is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Southern California's School of Architecture and serves as Director of The Now Institute, a research center focused on urban strategy and sustainability. He is a Partner at Morphosis Architects, with 30 years of professional experience leading architectural and urban projects in Asia and the Middle East. Notable projects include the Korean Embassy in Tokyo (the world's tallest detached-core skyscraper), NEOM and The Line regional masterplans in Saudi Arabia, and post-earthquake initiatives in Haiti.

He holds a B.Arch from Cornell University and an M.Arch II from Harvard University. Academically, he has directed USC's Graduate Programs and previously led urban design graduate programs at UCLA and SCI-Arc. His work integrates cultural politics with spatial dynamics of global and Asian urbanization.

Prior academic roles include teaching in China and Korea. His scholarship includes co-authoring the bestselling 100 Buildings and the visual tome Haiti Now, exploring architectural narratives and urban resilience.
