Eugenio DiSciascio

Eugenio DiSciascio is a Full Professor and Scientific Coordinator at the Department of Information Engineering (DEI) of the University of Bari. His research spans Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Recommender Systems, and Semantic Technologies with a focus on Trustworthy AI principles. He leads projects in healthcare informatics, user modeling through Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI), and multimodal learning frameworks like Ducho 2.0.

Key research areas include explainable AI for medical diagnosis (e.g., Alzheimer’s detection), ethical AI frameworks such as POLARIS, and adversarial defenses in recommender systems. He organizes international events like ICWE 2022 and workshops focused on cybersecurity and BCI applications.
