Eugene Vasserman is an Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Cybersecurity and Trustworthy Systems at Kansas State University. He holds a PhD in Computer Science (2010), MS in Computer Science (2008), and BS in Biochemistry/Neuroscience (2003) from the University of Minnesota.
His cross-disciplinary research spans cybersecurity for medical/IoT systems, censorship resistance, and security education. He has authored over 50 publications with 1800+ citations and contributes to international standards including UL 2900 and ANSI/AAMI/UL 2800 for medical device security.
As faculty advisor for the Cyber Defense Club, he mentors students in cybersecurity competitions. He teaches courses in operating systems, network programming, and computer security across undergraduate and graduate levels.
