Dr. Eugene Furman is an Assistant Professor of Operations Management and Decision Sciences at The American College of Greece (ACG). He specializes in applying stochastic modeling, dynamical systems, and machine learning to healthcare and service systems. His research focuses on capacity planning for queueing networks with impatient customers and time-varying demand. He holds a PhD from York University's Schulich School of Business, and his postdoctoral work was funded by the Sandra Rotman Centre and Huawei. Previously, he worked as a financial model analyst at Sun Life Financial.
- Education: B.Sc. (Transnistrian State University), M.A. (York University), PhD (Schulich School of Business)
- Research Interests: Healthcare operations, queueing systems, fluid models, and unsupervised machine learning
His work bridges theoretical mathematical models and practical decision-making tools. A notable achievement includes winning the CORS Student Paper Competition for his queueing network research.
