Euel Elliott is a Professor of Political Science, Public Policy, and Political Economy at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), where he has served since 1991. He currently holds the position of Senior Associate Dean. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Political Science from Duke University (1987), M.A. degrees in Political Science (Virginia Tech, 1982) and Psychology (Radford University, 1976), and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science (Virginia Tech, 1973).
E Elliott's research focuses on complex adaptive systems (CAS), nonlinear dynamics, and their applications to political and economic phenomena. Key areas include the interplay of technology and political attitudes, criminal justice policy, and the impact of social media on cultural conflict. He has authored/co-edited influential works like *Complex Systems in the Social and Behavioral Sciences: Theory, Method, Application* (2021) and *Chaos Theory in the Social Sciences: Foundations and Applications* (1996).
His administrative roles at UTD include Director of Graduate Studies (1998–2003), Associate Dean for Graduate Education (2003–2005), and Senior Associate Dean (2007–present). He has supervised numerous doctoral students and served on dissertation committees, contributing to over 50 completed theses.
E Elliott has been recognized in *Who's Who Among Teachers of the Southwest* (1993–1994) and holds memberships in professional organizations such as the American Political Science Association and American Economic Association. His work spans interdisciplinary collaborations, including agent-based modeling of policy challenges and analyses of global economic cycles.
