Euan Winton is an Assistant Professor in the School of Textiles & Design at Heriot-Watt University. His research focuses on co-design methodologies to empower communities and individuals through collaborative design practices. Key areas include healthcare interventions, dementia support, sustainability, and heritage preservation. He has received national awards including the DARC Awards 2016 and Drum Scottish Design Awards 2015.
Winton’s work bridges design, social sciences, and environmental impact, emphasizing holistic approaches to community engagement. Recent projects involve co-creating sustainable medical garments for the NHS and participatory art addressing bereavement.
