Etienne Caron

Dr. Etienne Caron is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Immunobiology at Yale School of Medicine, affiliated with the Yale Center for Immuno-Oncology (YCIO), Yale Center for Infection and Immunity (CII), and Yale Center for Systems and Engineering Immunology (CSEI). He leads the Caron Lab, focusing on mass spectrometry-based immunopeptidomics to study antigen presentation mechanisms in health and disease. His research bridges immunology, biochemistry, and computational biology to advance vaccine design, cancer immunotherapy, and autoimmune disease treatments.

Dr. Caron earned his PhD from the University of Montreal and completed postdoctoral training at ETH Zurich and EMBL Barcelona. He founded Neomabs Biotechnologies to develop targeted immunotherapies for childhood leukemia. His honors include the Effervescence Stars Award (2023) and multiple research fellowships from FRQS, CIHR, and the European Commission.
