Etain Quigley is a Lecturer in the Law Department at Maynooth University. She holds a BSocSc and MSocSc (First Class Honours) from University College Dublin (UCD), followed by a PhD in Law focusing on contemporary policy and practice in Ireland's youth justice system. Her research expertise spans criminology, youth justice, policing, and mental health within criminal justice systems. She has contributed to high-profile projects, including the Strategic Review of Penal Policy for the Department of Justice and Equality as Research Lead on the prisoners/ex-prisoners voice phase.
