Esther Rehbein

Esther Rehbein serves as Associate Professor, Chair of the School of Teacher Education, and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Mid-America Christian University (MACU). With over 20 years of K-12 teaching experience across Nebraska, Missouri, and Arizona, she transitioned to higher education in 2003, holding roles including campus pastor, Director of Teacher Education, and full-time faculty before assuming her current leadership positions.

Her academic credentials include:

• Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Gulf-Coast Bible College
• Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Arizona State University

Dr. Rehbein specializes in preparing educators through professional education courses and methods instruction for elementary and early childhood candidates. Her work emphasizes practical teacher training, curriculum development, and PK-12 student learning outcomes, informed by her extensive classroom experience and national program review responsibilities for Elementary Education accreditation.

She has secured educational grants and served on executive boards including the Urban Teacher Preparation Academy and Oklahoma Association for Colleges of Teacher Education, demonstrating sustained commitment to advancing teacher preparation standards and supporting educational professionals across Oklahoma.
