Esther Monge Pereira is a full-time Lecturer in the Faculty of Physiotherapy at the University of Vigo. She is affiliated with the Department of Functional Biology and Health Sciences, based at the Pontevedra campus, and is part of the Is24 Isaúde research group.
Her research focuses on Neurorehabilitation, Brain-Machine Interfaces, and Stroke Treatment, particularly using surface electroencephalography (EEG) for evaluating and treating upper limb motor function in stroke patients.
Education
- PhD in Physiotherapy from Rey Juan Carlos University (2017), with a thesis titled 'Use of brain-machine interfaces based on surface electroencephalography, as a proposal for evaluation and treatment of the motor function of the upper limb in stroke.'
